Date: July 25th
Time: 10:00am - 12:00pm
Location: Trammell Crow Park
Everyday outings come with safety challenges — parking lots, sidewalks, strangers, crossing streets, and staying close when distractions pop up.
The Community Safety Walk gives children and caregivers a chance to practice these skills together in a supported, real-world setting.
During this guided walk, an Unboxed clinician will help children work on:
Staying with their caregiver
Responding to their name
Stopping at curbs and crossings
Navigating parking lots and sidewalks
Noticing safety signs and signals
Managing excitement or impulsivity in public
Caregivers receive live coaching on how to:
Prompt safety skills without power struggles
Use visuals and reinforcement in the moment
Increase independence while keeping kids safe
Respond calmly when things feel chaotic
This isn’t about being perfect — it’s about building confidence and safer habits through practice, support, and repetition.
